I’m Megan, the photographer behind Megan Johnson Photography, and for me, family photography is all about capturing the moments you’ll one day wish you could bottle up and keep forever.  Alongside photography, I’m a fully qualified primary school teacher with 10 years’ experience, teaching Monday–Wednesday, so working with children (and all the unpredictability that comes with them!) is very much second nature to me. I’m also a mum of two young boys myself, so I know first-hand just how quickly these little years pass — and how often mums are the ones behind the camera rather than in the photographs. My sessions are relaxed, friendly and child-led, with no pressure for little ones to sit still or give perfect smiles. Instead, I focus on capturing genuine personalities, connections and all those beautifully ordinary moments that tell the real story of your family, with you in the photos too.
